How-to books showcase- a new video

Hi there!

This is a new video just released last week that may clarify what you wanted to know about the CTMH How-to books, before you order your own book(s) with me.
:)
The informative video, from Monica at Close To My Heart,  will show some samples and guide you through the best of each by their titles.
Watch it. Then let me know if you have more questions!

To see or order the book(s) you want, please click here.

And yes, the books may have many projects featuring the past paper collections and products(stamp, embellishment) from CTMH, but you can always substitute any of those with what you have in your stash.

Be creative and have fun crafting!

Friday note #2 - mini card "Happy Thanksgiving"

Sharing one of the samples I made for the Open House, using one of the newest stamp set named "Perfect Fit - Thanksgiving" found in the 2013 Autumn/Winter Idea Book.
I used the CRICUT Artiste to cut out the shape of the turkey and stamped on it. Finished the piece with distressing and sponging plus glitter glue.

The sentiment is also from the same stamp set.

Papers? You got it. It is the new Huntington - my new favorite for Autumn Fall Thanksgiving projects.

This is a simple to-do, 3" x 3" card  that can be used as gift card or a decor block for a page layout!

Love This card

We all need to express our love. For card maker, paper crafter or even scrapbooker, there are tons of possibilities to make this happen.
:)

One of things I like is when I have the chance to say "I love this" with any given project. That's why this stamp set is one of my favorites now. It's created to go with the My Crush book, but it can surely fit anything else when it's time to say "love this".

You'll want this stamp set. To shop with me  - click here.
The cute paper? It's BABYCAKES. See it here.

A bird, a flower, a butterfly, flourish border, AMAZING, LOVE THIS!

Expressing Love to all the people we care and love,

Happy Monday: new FRAMEWORK alphabets plus 1

Good Morning!

Today I'd like to highlight the new stamp set " FRAMEWORK" alphabets, a E size set that comes in the 6" x 6" format nicely tucked in the square plastic envelope, in 2 sheets!
Now the new E sizes can be put all together with the A,B,C and D sizes of stamp sets. I really like this idea of finding them in same spot, with the clear storage box that can fit 40 sets. Yum!

This set comes in total of 66 pieces. that means a lot of fun. Click here to see or to order it.

To see the 40 stamp set large organizer (storage box), click here.

Now I'd like to share a 3" x 3" card  I made with the (also new) mini stamp that has the same font, smaller size. It's called "HEARTFELT BIRTHDAY WISH",  from the Minis collection, you can click here to see it.

I used the "LAUGHING LOLA" collection. Click here to see the paper pack and here to see the accents. For more Mini stamps, click here.

Thanks for visiting today!

Sending some love in a card

Be and Stay in love.
I made this card with the new stamp set "SO SWEET" (c1389)- featured in the 2010 Spring Idea Book. You can see how the stamps come in outline and "fill-in" images of the bird and flowers that allow you to stamp in many ways and colors. I used 3 colors mix-n-match technique. The sentiment (thinking of you) stamp is from the set "DAINTY THOUGHTS" (C1350). Papers are from the Topstitch(picture background), Veranda and Crystal Blue CC.
Love Spring and all it is about.
:)

Happy (valentine) DAY!

Felicity Card - LOVE

We all need it. We all want it. We all look for it.
LOVE is so old fashion, so contemporary, so traditional and so precious.
You can do some good and big thing to prove it or small everyday act to show it.
And in papercrafting vocabulary's - you can make a card.

This sample is made from this month's campaign's FELICITY collection papers.
The name: L~O~V~E.

The idea is from the corporate DT but you can copy it to create one of your own...with someone in mind, from your heart.

LOVE - From Craftologista.

STAMPAGANZA # 4 - Art & Soul Featured

This stamp set(HEARTFELT CHRISTMAS - C1378) became one of my favorite for this holiday's projects.
And here I'm sharing the card I made for the recent Close To My Heart Regionals Celebration event's contest.

As you can see, these stamps can be used in so many ways...I used 4 different images to create the background strips on a variety of different paper colors and patterns. Then added a shiny look with a touch of Liquid Glass onto the intricate image details. The sentiment square was embellished with few tiny buttons within matching colors. Easy and simple.
You can have this stamp set by getting it through the STAMPAGANZA special offer( buy 2 get 1 free*) or go to the CTMH TV - Art & Soul newest episode (Nov.10) watch the show and purchase it with a special discount, through MyCTMH online shop - lya.myctmh.com and under product code (AS1019).

Happy Monday!

Up to date: September card kit drawing- good news!!

Just got a great news to share...!
Daily Card Kit Drawings in September
You already know you can get an Everyday Celebrations card kit free with a qualifying purchase of My Acrylix® stamps. But starting September 1st, anyone who makes a purchase will be entered into a daily drawing for a free card kit!
Just as reminder: to qualify for the daily drawing you only have to place an order through a Gathering Party Order, your individual Order, or a MyCTMH website purchase (lya.myctmh.com).

The unique scallop shape of the cards is beautiful. And how cool is the coordinated-shaped stamps that comes within the set! What a great idea! Not only can it be used on the cards in this set, but you can also use the stamp in so many other ways...and the best thing is: the card set is SO generic! It suits for both guys and gals!

Got card makers on your Christmas list...(or if they want it for Christmas to tell their significant others) this is a great gift and they can get their shopping done early!

Every ways of goodness for your everyday celebrations!

To get yours while supplies last, go to lya.myctmh.com and place an order today!

Happy Card Making(and sending!)

CARDS FOR KATE BY JENNIFER MCGUIRE

Once again, seems like Jennifer is doing another wonderful job through her blog, calling the lovely card makers out there to send handmade cards to Kate, a beautiful little girl who is now in a big battle of her life - fighting against cancer.
You can find out more clicking in the widget at side bar.

And I'm so happy to be able to help Jennifer - this amazing designer and card maker!
So don't wait, make some cards from your own and send them out to the McRae Family through Jennifer...and "REMEMBER, whatever you do, make it from your heart".

Happy Card Making, y'all!

SHARE

Good Afternoon!

Because this is the first post of the other "segment" of the blog that I'll call as CARDS TALK - where I'll share some of the techniques or tips I've got by making my cards - I also want to share something behind my stamping and card making background, how they came out to my crafting life.
I've always been attached to all things crafty - my mom used to say that I need to choose ONE type and dedicate to just that, like herself for knitting - she is a great knitter , by the way - but I never followed her advice as well.
:)
Today I can return to my past years and see how many things I had my "hands-on" and are still there waiting to be continuously improved, technical and "emotionally" speaking. Watercolors, Oil paintings, Drawings, knitting, crochetting and then other artsy things like playing some musical instrument (piano, flute, violin, guitar).
What can I say...just love these!!
However, by the time of my college years, I ended up choosing to graduate in the health care provider field. Which is very rewarded itself as I could help and learn so much from. BUT I have to say... it's EXTREMELY STRESSFUL.

After I became wife and mom, I turned myself to the side of ME that needed to speak up. My "craft"ologist side. Then now I'm no longer working outside as a health care people but as a simple person who just want to create something I can consider MY ART, just with stuff I find in our every day life, and of course, playing along with my kid through what I like to call CREATIVITY.

Now, back to my cards. I love butterflies (or flutter-bies as my little one would say). And I wanted to start this CARDS TALK by showing these 2 cards I made with a stamp set and the paper packet (just butterflies, not the sentiments ) that are not found in the current catalog of Close To My Heart, but it's still up to purchase while supplies last.
Let me know if you'd like it. These are that I like to keep because it's naturally and simply beautiful by itself.

Thanks for stopping by.

Lya
