A Decorative Composition Book - the making

Hi there!

Today I'm sharing a project made with composition book (bought from a local office supplies store), with its front and back covers "wrapped' with a patterned paper, then added a grosgrain and satin ribbon for edge finishings.

The paper is from the CTMH Animal Cookies collection (X5807) and ink pads are TULIP(Z2166), SUNFLOWER(Z2150), BAMBOO*(Z2103), DUTCH BLUE(Z2119). The ink pads were used for the front cover accents/flowers I made along with the project. The stamp set for the flowers is from COTTAGE FLORAL (B1306). Ribbons from

DESIGNER RIBBON ROUNDS™ BUTTERCUP COLLECTION(z1154).

Other tools used for this is CORNER ROUNDER(Z578), CLEAR CRAFT BUTTONS(Z1155), SUMMER CRAFT BUTTONS(Z1282), TOMBOW ADHESIVE(1514).

More miscellaneous items are from my local craft store.
:)

Thank you for stopping by.
Have a great day!

easy to make - your own accent

Hi, today I'd like to share some pictures that show a easy and fun way to make your
own accent, or flower.
First you stamp your flower image in a white or lighter color cardstock, using a darker ink color.
Stamp again the same flower onto a darker color cardstock, this will be the center part of your flower later on.
Cut out the center of the darker cardstock image as shown above. And then the lighter cardstock image. Glue the first piece(center-smaller) onto the second piece (whole flower) and voila'!
You've got flower _of your own!

This layered flower can be embellished with a brad, button, ribbon, eyelet,......!

Have fun making more with different color combinations, you'll have tons of them ready to use on your projects!

Have a great day!
